“ A fantastic restaurant serving delicious French-Scottish fusion food on the most photographed street in Scotland. The staff are friendly, helpful, hard working and great fun. The surroundings are beautiful, a great mix of contemporary and ancient! ”
“ We managed to catch the early dinner special and what a deal it was! 2 amazing courses for 25. I had a lovely steak and my husband the beef cheeks - delicious! We also had our wee one with us, nearly 2 year old who was starting to get very hangry and they put together a special meal for him which he happily ate up most of, and all the servers were very welcoming and accommodating for him even though you wouldn’t describe it as a ‘family restaurant’ it didn’t feel like an imposition to have him there. Definitely will come back if we’re lucky enough to visit Edinburgh again! ”

“ This restaurant is a very calm place in a very busy street. So this was very welcome. I had the special of the day which was panfried seabass with spinach, poached egg, scallop, hassleback potatoes. And I asked if there was any dairy in the dish since I'm allergic to dairy. The lady immediately went to ask the kitchen. She told me the spinach was originally cooked with cream. But for me the chef would make it without the cream. Which was so nice of them to do. Because usually I don't want to make a fuss and would just say to leave it off. But it was no issue to make the spinach without cream which I appreciate so much. The dish in itself, wauw. So good!! The seabass was nice and crispy but light, everything had so much flavor! The staff was so nice too! This restaurant is a really wonderful escape from the loud world outside. Highly recommend going there. ”
“ I had the muscles which were very nice in size ( medium to large in size of the cooked muscle). The sauce was a lightly flavored sauce of garlic,butter and some other ingredients..not over powering but very nice and subtle. I also had the Rabbit which was fantastic, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also had the mash potatoes which is just plain potatoes so I did need to add butter and salt for my liking:) ”
